Excluding items, the Company lost $38 million U.S. or $0.07 U.S. per share for the first quarter of 2009, compared to earnings of $25 million U.S. or $0.05 U.S. per share for the first quarter of 2008. Sales for the first quarter amounted to $1.3 billion U.S., compared to $1.67 billion U.S. in the year ago quarter.
