03:31 PM EST - Manitoba Telecom Services Inc. : reported a higher fourth-quarter profit on Thursday, as gains from the sale of discontinued operations and a positive tax adjustment boosted results. The communications company said it earned $216.1 million, or $3.18 a share, for the three months ended December 31. That was up from a profit of $14.6 million, or 22 cents a share, in the same period a year earlier. Manitoba Telecom Services Inc.
shares T.MBT are trading up 9 cents at $47.80.
