09:51 AM EST - GLG Life Tech Corp. : announced that its first-quarter net loss was $1.5 million or $0.02 per share, in comparison with a net loss of $900.000 or $0.01 per share in the year ago quarter. GLG's capital expenditures for the quarter were $8.4 million, in comparison to $3.2 million in the same quarter of last year. Revenues for the quarter were $3 million, an increase of 257 per cent over $800,000 in revenue for the first quarter in 2008. The Company expects the demand for its stevia products to be significantly stronger in 2009 compared to 2008. For fiscal 2009, the company still expects revenue to be in the range of C$50 million to C$60 million. GLG Life Tech Corp.
