11:37 AM EST - Reitmans (Canada) Ltd. : announced that its first quarter net earnings decreased to $7.80 million or $0.11 per share, from $18.44 million or $0.26 per share in the year-ago quarter. Sales for the first quarter increased 1.5 per cent to $231.65 million, from $228.32 million in the year-ago quarter. Same-store sales remained relatively stable, decreasing slightly by 0.8 per cent.
