03:56 PM EST - Iamgold Corp. : raised its fiscal-2009 gold production outlook. However, the full year production outlook for niobium was lowered slightly. The company also projected capital expenditures for the full year. For fiscal 2009, Iamgold raised the gold production guidance to a range of 910,000 ounces to 920,000 ounces from the earlier forecast of 880,000 ounces, mainly on productivity increases at Rosebel and the extended life of the Doyon mine into third quarter of 2009, partly offset by lower grades at Mupane. The company expects cash cost to average between $460 U.S. per ounce and $470 U.S. per ounce for the full year 2009, a decrease of $10 U.S. per ounce from the earlier guidance due primarily to productivity improvements at Rosebel.
