09:52 AM EST - EnCana Corp. : reported second-quarter net earnings of $239 million U.S. or $0.32 U.S. per share, compared to $1.22 billion U.S. or $1.63 U.S. per share last year. Revenues, net of royalties declined to $3.76 billion U.S. from $7.42 billion U.S. in the comparable period a year ago. Second quarter natural gas and oil production remained flat at 4.6 billion cubic feet equivalent per day, or Bcfe/d, compared to the second quarter of 2008. EnCana's Board of Directors has declared a quarterly dividend of 40 cents per share payable on September 30, 2009 to common shareholders of record as of September 15, 2009. Further, EnCana has updated its 2009 guidance for total natural gas, oil and NGLs production to a range of 4.4 to 4.8 MMcfe/d from 4.5 to 4.7 MMcfe/d. EnCana has also updated its capital investment guidance from $6.1 billion to a range of $5.5 billion to $6 billion. Total operating cost guidance has been reduced to $1.00 from $1.10 per Mcfe.
