11:49 AM EST - HSBC Bank Canada : reported second-quarter net income attributable to common shares of $114 million, compared to C$158 million last year. Basic earnings per share were $0.23, down from $0.30 in the same quarter a year earlier. The company noted that the prior year results were restated to reflect the acquisition of HSBC Financial Corporation Limited. Net interest income for the second quarter of 2009 was $368 million, compared with $423 million in the same quarter in 2008. Non-interest revenue was $251 million, compared with $204 million for the same quarter a year ago. HSBC Bank Canada
