11:43 AM EST - Biorem Inc. : said it was awarded an advanced biofiltration project valued at $3.4 million. Under the terms of the agreement, Biorem said it will supply a biofiltration system to remove volatile organic compounds and odorous emissions at a municipal organics processing facility located in Southern Ontario. The system is expected to treat about 155,000 cubic meters of complex contaminated air sources per hour and has been specifically designed to bring emissions at the processing facility to a level that will meet stringent odour guidelines set out by the Ontario Ministry of the Environment. These guidelines ensure that only one odour unit per cubic metre of air is at the property boundary. Biorem Inc.
