09:43 AM EST - GuestLogix Inc. : said it has signed an agreement with The Facilities Partner Limited or TFP, UK to provide its onboard retail point-of-sale or POS handhelds and software platform to support the sale of beverages and meals on board trains operated by London Midland and CrossCountry. Collectively, the two rail operators are responsible for managing approximately 76 million passenger journeys a year, the company said. The agreement marks the first two rail deployments by GuestLogix in the European region. TFP said it expects to be fully operational with the latest GuestLogix' Chip and PIN handhelds around the end of this year with TFP personnel operating the POS devices on their food and drink trolleys.
