11:45 AM EST - TransForce Inc. : reported that its third-quarter net income was $17.0 million, or $0.19 per share, compared to $26.5 million, or $0.31 per share, in the third quarter of 2008. TransForce's earnings before income taxes were $25.2 million, compared with $38.4 million in the third quarter of 2008. Total revenues for the quarter were $451.35 million, down 24% from $595.53 million in the prior year quarter. Revenue excluding fuel surcharge decreased 18% to $418.9 million. The year-over-year decrease in revenue is mainly the result of the continuing low economic activity. TransForce Inc.
