12:25 PM EST - Candente Resource Corp. : now reports up to 8.1 billion pounds of copper existing, according to an updated independent mineral resource study, at its Canariaco Norte property in northern Peru estimates the deposit contains up to 8.1 billion pounds of copper. The company said Sunday the latest analysis from December drilling suggests the property contains 820 million tonnes of ore grading 0.45 per cent copper, with more certain measured and indicated resource categories making up 78 per cent of the orebody.
