10:37 AM EST - Alliance Atlantis Communications Inc. : is reporting a fourth-quarter loss of $16.6 million after a big tax hit, contrasting with a year-ago profit of $24.8 million. The loss for 2006's final quarter amounted to 40 cents a diluted share, compared with a profit of 56 cents per share a year ago. For the full year, Alliance Atlantis reported a profit of $48.6 million or $1.13 a share, down from $70.9 million or $1.61 a share in 2005. Alliance Atlantis Communications Inc.
