09:46 AM EST - Air Canada : reported that its third-quarter net income was $277 million or $2.44 per share, compared to a loss of $132 million or $1.32 per share in the same quarter last year. The latest quarter results included a gain on foreign exchange of $295 million. The prior-year quarter results included losses on foreign exchange of $87 million. On an adjusted basis, the airline reported a loss per share in the third quarter of 2009 of $0.19. Earnings per share are adjusted to remove Air Canada's gains on foreign exchange of $295 million and a gain on assets of $1 million in the third quarter of 2009. Financial Operating revenues for the quarter were $2.67 billion, compared to $3.08 billion in the prior-year quarter. Air Canada
