09:59 AM EST - Bombardier Transportation : in consortium with Talgo, confirmed that it received an order from Renfe, the Spanish national rail operator, for the maintenance of a fleet of 30 AVE S/112 very-high-speed trains during a period of 14 years. Bombardier Transportation is a unit of Bombardier Inc. Total value of the contract is about $917 million U.S. Bombardier's share in this contract is valued at about $405 million U.S.. Maintenance activities will take place at Renfe's depots in Spain and work is predicted to start in 2010, after the conclusion of the train's homologation process. Bombardier's scope includes the preventive and corrective maintenance of the train power-heads, power supply, signaling and propulsion system and auxiliaries. Bombardier Inc.
