09:46 AM EST - WestJet Airline Ltd. : reported an 8.1% increase in December 2009 traffic to 1.28 billion revenue passenger miles or RPMs from 1.18 billion RPMs a year earlier. Capacity in December rose 7% to 1.56 billion available seat miles or ASMs from 1.46 billion ASMs last year. Load factor for the same month increased 0.8 points to 81.7% from 80.9% in the previous year. In addition, the company expects fourth-quarter 2009 revenue per available seat mile to remain inline with its prior outlook of an 11% - 13% year-over-year decline. WestJet Airline Ltd.
