11:49 AM EST - Domtar Corp. : said its fourth-quarter net earnings were $124 million U.S. or $2.86 U.S. per share compared with a net loss of $676 million U.S. or $15.72 U.S. per share in the prior-year period. Net earnings before items for the quarter were $60 million U.S. or $1.39 U.S. per share versus a loss of $20 million U.S. or $0.46 U.S. per share in the year-ago period. Analysts expected the company to report earnings of $0.91 per share for the quarter. Consolidated sales for the quarter declined to $1.40 billion U.S. from $1.46 billion U.S. in the comparable period. Six analysts estimate revenues of $1.41 billion U.S. for the quarter. Domtar Corp.
