09:37 AM EST - Æterna Zentaris : said its partner, Keryx Biopharmaceuticals, Inc., was granted Fast Track designation for KRX-0401, or perifosine, the Company's novel, potentially first-in-class, oral anti-cancer agent that inhibits Akt activation in the phosphoinositide 3-kinase pathway, for the treatment of refractory advanced colorectal cancer, by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Keryx is Æterna Zentaris' licensee for perifosine in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
