11:48 AM EST - Cogeco Cable Inc. : reported that its second-quarter net income amounted to $29.8 million or $0.61 per share, compared to a net loss of $358.3 million or $7.38 per share, for the same period in 2009. The company said that net loss in the second quarter of fiscal 2009 included a non-cash impairment loss on the net value of the acquired assets of the Portuguese subsidiary, net of related income taxes, of $383.6 million. Adjusted net income would have amounted to $29.8 million, or $0.61 per share, up from adjusted net income of $25.3 million, or $0.52 per share for the quarter. Revenue for the quarter rose to $320.40 million, from $304.92 million in the year-ago quarter. Cogeco Cable Inc.
