09:59 AM EST - Underworld Resources Inc. : announced that Kinross Gold Corp. has been successful in its bid to acquire Underworld, as a total of 38.74 million Underworld shares were validly deposited at the expiry time of the previously announced offer. Kinross noted that it now owns a total of 42.66 million common shares of Underworld, representing nearly 81.6% of Underworld's issued and outstanding common shares on a fully-diluted basis at the time of the close of the offer.
