12:05 PM EST - Intact Financial Corp. : said its first-quarter net income was $119.7 million or $1.01 per share compared with a loss of $36.3 million or $0.30 per share in the prior-year period. Net operating income for the quarter grew to $112.3 million or $0.94 per share from $69.1 million or $0.58 per share in the year-ago period. Direct premiums written increased 5.2% to $914.3 million from $868.8 million in the previous year period. Intact Financial Corp.
