10:46 AM EST - Bombardier Transportation : Bombardier Transportation (TSX:BBD.B) has won a seven-year contract valued at C$97 million from the South Florida Regional Transportation Authority to provide maintenance services for a fleet of commuter rail vehicles. SFRTA's Tri-Rail commuter service operates along a 116-kilometre corridor from Miami to West Palm Beach on the east coast of southern Florida. The Tri-Rail service currently runs 40 trains a day, with expectations for more trains later this year.
The 63-million-euro agreement includes one option for a three-year extension that, if exercised, the contract value could reach up to 91 million euros ($140 million). Bombardier Transportation
shares T.BBD.B are trading down 02 cents at $4.63.
