09:55 AM EST - Humboldt Capital Corp. : reported that its first-quarter net earnings were $642,000, down from $1.70 million in the prior-year quarter. On a per share basis, net earnings were $0.05, compared to $0.14 in the prior year. Humboldt Capital also reported that, in the first quarter of 2010, net asset value increased to $47.3 million, compared with $35.3 million a year ago. Humboldt's net asset value had increased to $3.86 per share, compared with $2.82 per share last year, in addition to the $0.25 per share dividend, distributed during the past year.
