11:47 AM EST - WestJet Airline Ltd. : said its traffic increased 18.9% for May 2010, with both capacity and load factor improving over last year. Traffic for the year-to-date period increased 11.9%. For the month of May, traffic increased to 1.27 billion RPMs, or revenue passenger miles, from 1.06 billion RPMs last year. Capacity increased 13.4% to 1.628 billion ASMs or available seat miles. Load factor, a measure of efficiency, improved 3.6 percentage points to 77.7%. The airline flew an additional 125,000 guests in May 2010 compared to May 2009. WestJet Airline Ltd.
