11:40 AM EST - Sceptre Investment Counsel Limited : announces that it and and Fiera Capital Inc. announced that they have signed a definitive deal to merge the two companies. The new company will be named as Fiera Sceptre. The merger will be accretive to earnings. The company said that the merger will create an independent money manager with $30 billion in assets under management. As per the agreement, Sceptre shareholders will exchange 14.0 million common shares for 14.0 million new Class A subordinate voting shares of Fiera Sceptre on a 1-for-1 basis.
