12:00 PM EST - MAX Minerals Ltd. : said Tuesday that it closed its acquisition of Varenna Energy Ltd. In consideration of the acquisition, MAX issued about 11.33 million shares to the shareholders of Varenna, in exchange for all of the issued and outstanding shares of Varenna. MAX said it will now have about $5.8 million of working capital to be used to develop the company's properties and pursue new opportunities. MAX Minerals Ltd.
