09:49 AM EST - Ivanhoe Mines Ltd. : announced that Rio Tinto plc has referred to arbitration Ivanhoe’s breaches of the Private Placement Agreement caused by adoption of the Shareholders Rights Plan. Rio Tinto said it has notified Ivanhoe about the arbitration. Rio Tinto said it advised Ivanhoe that the Rights Plan would breach its contractual rights and noted that, however, Ivanhoe's board adopted the Plan over its strong objection. Rio Tinto claims that the Plan would breach its contractual rights. Ivanhoe Mines Ltd.
