For the quarter, earnings before other items increased to $11.4 million or $0.08 per share from $3.4 million or $0.03 per share last year. Earnings before other items for the recent quarter excludes a $1.7 million or $0.01 per share charge in accrued severance charges associated with the El Cubo mine. Halifax-based Gammon Gold's quarterly revenue grew to $57 million from $43.3 million in the comparable quarter a year ago. Gammon Gold Inc.
