Net loss was $2.69 million, compared to a loss of $12.27 million in the same quarter last year. On a per share basis, net loss was $0.03, compared to a loss of $0.17 last year. Expenses declined to $44.39 million, from $53.08 million in the prior-year quarter. Petroleum and natural gas sales increased to $43.03 million, from $39.33 million in the year-ago quarter.
