03:42 PM EST - Capstone Mining Corp : Tuesday said its net earnings for the second quarter rose sharply to $45.4 million or $0.23 per share from $25.8 million or $0.14 million per share in the same quarter last year. Excluding items, adjusted net earnings declined to $10.0 million or $0.05 per share from $16.8 million or $0.09 per share in the year-ago quarter.
