12:13 PM EST - First Majestic Silver Corp. : reported that its second-quarter net income was $8.9 million or $0.10 per share, up from $1.0 million or $0.01 per share in the second quarter of 2009. Net income for the second quarter of 2010 included non-cash stock-based compensation expense of $600,000 and an income tax provision of $1.4 million. Net sales revenue, after smelting and refining charges, metals deductions, transportation and other selling costs, for the quarter were $29.0 million, an increase of 122% compared to $13.0 million for the second quarter of 2009.
