12:04 PM EST - Potash Corporation of Saskatchewan Inc. : reported the highest quarterly net profits in the company's history with first first-quarter net income of US$198 million, or $1.85 per share, up from $125.5 million or $1.19 a share for the same 2006 period. The fertilizer giant said Thursday that sales jumped to US$1.15 billion from $861.6 million, reflecting increased volumes and prices for fertilizers and industrial chemicals.
