12:10 PM EST - Paramount Resources Ltd. : shares surged 11 percent on Friday after Norway's Statoil said it will buy a Paramount affiliate, North American Oil Sands, for about $2.2 billion. The $20-a-share cash offer is expected to bring Paramount around $682 million, the company said. Paramount Resources Ltd.
