12:40 PM EST - Yellow Pages Income Fund : reported a 42 percent rise in first-quarter profit on Wednesday as Canada's largest publisher of telephone directories said it benefited from strong growth in its core directory businesses as well as recent acquisitions. Yellow Pages said it earned $120.9 million, or 23 cents a share, in the quarter ended March 31, up from a net profit of $85.2 million, or 17 cents, in the year-earlier period.
