10:10 AM EST - Canadian Tire Corp. : reported a 36 percent rise in its first-quarter results on Thursday helped in part by strong retail sales. The hard goods retailer reported net earnings of $64.5 million or 79 cents a share for the quarter, up from $47.6 million, or 58 cents a share for the same time last year. Canadian Tire Corp.
