Net earnings were up 116% to $63.6 million ($0.22 per share), compared to net earnings of $29.4 million ($0.10 per share) for first-quarter 2010. Sales volumes for first-quarter 2011 totaled 9.4 million pounds of nickel, one million pounds of cobalt, 9.5 million tonnes of thermal coal, 1.1 million barrels of oil and 148 GWh of electricity.
