11:11 AM EST - Sxr Uranium One Inc. : reports that it has struck a deal to take over Energy Metals Corp. (TSX:EMC). The arrangement - exchanging 1.15 shares of Uranium One for each Energy Metals share - "will dramatically enhance Uranium One's asset portfolio in the United States and solidify the new Uranium One's ability to build a leading U.S. uranium producer," the company said Monday. The deal values Energy Metals at about $1.6 billion, based on Uranium One's closing share price of $16.63 on Friday, and represents a 28 per cent premium over the 20-day weighted average price of the companies' shares before Energy Metals announced it was in talks for a deal. Energy Metals stockholders will own 21 per cent of the combined enterprise. Uranium One said the deal will give it a market capitalization of US$7.8 billion. Sxr Uranium One Inc.
