11:11 AM EST - Trigon Uranium Corp. : reports that it has signed a deal to acquire rights to six Utah uranium mines. The mines, previously operated until the mid-1980s, are in the White Canyon district of southeast Utah and are made up of 73 claims and three leases covering 10.6 square kilometres. The deal with Shumway Brothers Mining LLC and other property owner is the first step in Trigon's plan to establish a portfolio of mines in the Colorado Plateau," the company said Monday. "The uranium industry of the Colorado Plateau is still being defined and we aim to be a major uranium player in this region." Trigon Uranium Corp.
