03:31 PM EST - Fortis Inc. : announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire all of the outstanding common shares of Central Vermont Public Service Corporation, the largest integrated electric utility in Vermont, for $35.10 U.S. per share in cash, for an aggregate purchase price of approximately $700 million U.S., including the assumption of approximately $230 million U.S. of debt on close.
