10:18 AM EST - Zarlink Semiconductor Inc. : reported a first-quarter loss on Tuesday, as charges and lower revenue ate into results. Zarlink, which is buying semiconductor firm Legerity Holdings Inc. for $134.5 million in cash, said it lost $5.0 million, or 5 cents a share, in the three months ended June 29. That's down from a profit of $4.2 million, or 3 cents per share, in the same period a year earlier. Revenue was $30.6 million, down from $38.4 million a year earlier. Zarlink Semiconductor Inc.
