10:55 AM EST - Cameco Corp. : said quarterly profit jumped 37 percent, thanks to strong uranium prices. The company earned $205 million, or 55 cents per share, in the quarter ended June 30, up from $150 million, or 40 cents a share, a year earlier. That's well above the average estimate of analysts polled by Reuters of 42 Canadian cents a share. Revenue swelled to $725 million, up 74 percent from $417 million, as the uranium sale price reached a record high. Cameco Corp.
shares T.CCO are trading off 45 cents at $42.55.
