Crude inventories up: EIA

Some shaking in the petroleum industry were expected Wednesday, following the release of a report from the U.S. Energy Information Agency.

The EIA report showed that the U.S commercial crude oil inventories increased by 1.6 million barrels from the previous week.

At 359.3 million barrels, U.S. crude oil inventories are above the upper limit of the average range for this time of year.

Total motor gasoline inventories decreased by seven million barrels last week and are in the upper limit of the average range.

Whereas distillate fuel inventories decreased by 2.7 million barrels last week and are above the upper limit of the average range for this time of year.
