Curing While Caring for Mother Earth, Voyageur Putting in New Steps

Companies must straddle the need for clean air and water while working with substances that maximize product effectiveness and profit.

Calgary-based Voyageur Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (TSX-Venture:VM) announced Tuesday it is implementing steps to ensure the Frances Creek barium sulfate project leads the industry in environmental best practices. The company’s objective is to create a project that has the lowest impact possible on the environment.

A news release out Tuesday indicates Voyageur is currently testing and investigating new technologies that will directly reduce the overall impact on the area of our quarry project and future API facilities. This includes minimizing its CO2 emissions, land disturbance, elimination of tailings ponds and reducing water consumption.
