MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (T.MDA) hit a new 52-week high of $48.29; MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd., Thursday reported financial results for the second quarter ended June 30. MDA's diversified businesses continue to deliver solid results. Operating earnings per share were $0.83, up 17% compared to $0.71 for the second quarter of last year. GAAP earnings per share were $0.67.
Revenues from Information Systems for the second quarter increased to $141 million compared to $101 million for the same period of last year. Adjusted Information Products revenues were $117 million this quarter, consistent with the same period a year ago before foreign exchange fluctuations. As at June 30, the Company's order backlog was $928 million (December 31, 2009 - $1,013 million).
