Binance To Buy Voyageur Digital’s Assets For $1 Billion

Cryptocurrency exchange Binance has agreed to buy the assets of bankrupt crypto brokerage Voyager Digital for $1.02 billion U.S.

Voyager Digital said Binance made the highest offer for its assets, and that the sale “sets a clear path forward for Voyager customer funds to be unlocked as soon as possible.”

The deal with Binance values Voyager Digital's cryptocurrency portfolio at $1 billion U.S. The arrangement is subject to bankruptcy court approval, and a hearing has been scheduled for January 5, 2023.

Voyager Digital filed for bankruptcy this past July. Its assets were set to be purchased by cryptocurrency exchange FTX, but that deal fell apart when FTX also filed for bankruptcy in November of this year.

Binance has struggled in the wake of the FTX collapse, seeing billions of dollars in customer redemptions in recent weeks and briefly halting withdrawals at its exchange.
