In Korea, the Kospi Index gained 63.01 points, or 0.9%, to 7,080.92
In Singapore, the Straits Times index dipped 13.85 points, or 0.2%, to 5,780.92
In Taiwan, the Taiex index popped 357.12 points, or 0.8%, to 48,157.29.
In New Zealand, the NZX 50 gave back 53.72 points, or 0.4%, to 13,821,76
In Australia, the ASX 200 nicked up 7.45 points, or 0.1%, to 8,765.29.
