Finally - A Way to Recycle Those Pesky Coffee Pods

The Keurig system is delicious and convenient, and up till now had a rather major sustainability problem. But this is all about to change with a new coffee option, and shares of this plant-based company are up on the exciting announcement.

Dumpster no more. NEXE Innovations Inc. (TSXV: NEXE) (OTC Markets: NEXNF), a leader in plant-based materials manufacturing, is launching its fully-compostable, plant-based pods, that are compatible with Keurig single-serve brewing systems.

Made completely from plant-based materials, the NEXE Keurig and Nespresso pod formats break down in as few as 35 days in a municipal composting facility, approximately the time it takes for an apple core to decompose.

Both U.S. and Canadian shares were trading up over 8 percent in morning trade.
