Molson Canada Reaches Tentative Deal With Striking Workers

Molson Canada (TAP) has reached a tentative agreement with the union representing some
425 workers at its Montreal headquarters who have been on strike since March of this year.

Both the Teamsters union and the beverage company confirmed the deal, details of which are
not being disclosed before they are presented to union members for a vote.

The long running labour dispute has focused on wages amid rampant inflation, along with future
pensions and work scheduling issues.

Teamster local president Eric Picotte said the three issues in dispute “have been addressed to
our satisfaction.” Union members went on strike on March 25 and then rejected several previous
offers put forward by the company.

Workers will now vote on the new tentative agreement later today (June 10), with approval
leading to a return-to-work next week.

Molson stock is up 11% this year at $52.41 U.S. a share.
