Apple (AAPL) is bringing employees who work at its Cupertino, California headquarters back to
the office three days a week starting in September.
Apple employees will be asked to go into the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Teams will
decide on an additional third day when they will work in the office.
The consumer electronics giant’s culture has always relied on in-person meetings and
collaborations as it develops physical hardware that requires employees to be present.
In recent months, Apple employees have been working from the office two days per week.
Apple had announced plans to move employees to work from the office three days a week this
past spring but delayed that plan due to rising COVID-19 infections.
Apple stock is down 5% this year and trading at $173.19 U.S. per share.
