The health plan sector is in a selloff phase again. Cigna (CI) lost 17.39% on Thursday after posting Q3/2025 results.
Cigna posted revenue of $69.7 billion (+9.4%), earning $7.83 a share. For the year, it forecasts adjusted income from operations of at least $29.60. Cigna’s major issue is the medical care ratio of 83.2% to 84.2%. This will hurt its future income if at these levels. The media reported that Cigna faces a drop in margins for the next two years. This includes changes to PBM rebate terms for its key customers, including the Department of Defense.
Moderna (MRNA), which once traded at around $450 five years ago, closed at $28.14. It added 13.93% on a report that the firm canceled a conference. Markets speculated that Moderna had discussions with at least one big-cap drugmaker.
Watch Reddit (RDDT) today. In after-hours trade, RDDT stock gained nearly 10% after posting third-quarter results. It earned $0.82 a share on revenue of $585 million (+67.9%). Users continue to grow. Daily active unique users increased by 19% Y/Y to 116 million. This social networking growth firm shows no signs of slowing down.
Reddit has no competition. People who seek answers through discussions visit its forum. Conversely, many sites require users to pay just to get access to the full content.
