Why Stocks Like Bloom Energy and Globe Life Slumped

Readers shopping for discounted stocks have three companies to consider. They dropped by 8% or more last Friday.

Bloom Energy (BE) posted a 138.9% Y/Y increase in revenue, to $1.24 billion. Q3 non-GAAP EPS of 94 cents beat expectations. BE stock is in oversold territory as investors feared that the revenue in 2028 and beyond might not materialize. Furthermore, the increased capital expenditure has a higher risk of not paying off. Speculators are pricing in the risk of the AI being in a bubble that will pop.

Bloom Energy’s peers include Nextpower (NXT) and GE Vernova (GEV).

Globe Life (GL) fell by 8%, extending a downtrend that started in the summer. Revenue grew by 5.3% Y/Y to $1.6 billion. In its guidance, the company said that United American General Agency will hurt FY 2026 results. The unit faced high-severity claims at Evry.

Comfort Systems (FIX) fell by 9.26%. It earned $13.91 after revenue jumped by 53.9% Y/Y to $3.77 billion. Comfort posted a healthy backlog. It increased by 25% Q/Q. Moreover, Comfort carried a higher proportion of equipment and materials in its cost mix in the third quarter. Looking ahead, it will add to its revenue.

Comfort’s peers include Sterling Infrastructure (STRL), MasTec (MTZ), Dycom Industries (DY), and EMCORE Group (EME).
